Oakwood Transmission

Hello! My name is Donald D. Kittle and I am the founder and C.E.O. of Oakwood Transmission. I have been in the transmission business since 1976. I started working on cars when I was 16 at my father's transmission repair shop in Joliet, Illinois. I learned several aspects of automobile repair from diagnosing problems to repairing the problems. It has helped me throughout my career to know how to detect a problem and and repair an automobile beyond the transmission. I remainded my father's apprentice for the next two years. After that time I became a transmission rebuilder and worked as such until April 1st 1992 when I opened the doors to Oakwood Transmission in Flowery Branch, GA.  For the last 16 years I have strived to run an honest and knowledgable transmission shop in which anyone from family, friend, or customer can bring their vehicle and place it in my possesion with an easy feeling. I hope that every one of my customers feels as though they get the best quality work from my 33 years experience in the automotive industry.
